Much of the contemporary ethos and its consequential angst, emptiness, and even lack of purpose and meaning is directly related to the deconstruction and dissolution of our original common story. In this new series we will study some of the most important narratives that have to do with who we are, why we are here, what is the meaning of life, and how will our experience here reach its conclusion according to the Ancient Words of the Bible.
Genesis is the framework of the entire Bible Story. Creation and Recreation are deeply connected realities. In order to understand and appreciate the last, you need to clearly understand the first.
Introduction (Part 1) – One of the most important realities that give us our common human identity is the stories that we share. We live, we create, we tell, and protect our stories. Stories are the best way to inspire, inform, involve, and evoke emotion into action, but also to create memories – essential for our existence. As someone once said, a story not shared is a waste of a story! For a very, very long period of time, the Bible was simply this: stories that were told, from one person to another, from generation to generation.
